Shriek Week Family-Friendly Halloween Event - October 19, 2018

Shriek Week is back for it’s 14th year!!
Join us for two weekends of Halloween entertainment for the entire family, featuring an indoor haunted house, an outdoor haunted walkthrough, shows, games, train rides, family entertainment, and food. The event takes place Fridays and Saturdays, October 19, 20, 26, and 27 from 6:00pm -11:00pm, and LITE NITE on Thursday, October 25 from 5:00pm -9:00pm.

Timed paid reservations are required for the indoor haunted house, which is appropriate for ages 7-12. Reservations are $6.00 starting September 15, and $9.00 starting October 6. Paid reservations can be booked in person, online, or by calling the Box Office at 561-347-3948. Reserve early…time slots do sell out.

During Thursday’s LITE NITE (Oct 25) the haunted house will be open with brighter lighting, less intense scares and modified soundtrack and audio, appropriate for kids ages 5-12. The second haunted walkthrough, Alien Lab, will be closed.

Redesigned each year with a new theme, the indoor haunted house is crafted with professional effects, lighting, sets and scare actors. This year, guests take a tour through the Dreamy-Land Traveling Carnival. In its heyday this traveling carnival boasted rides, arcade games, performers, and even live animals. But over the years, Dreamy-Land has become more of a nightmare, meant only for die-hard amusement park fans.

Nightly entertainment requires activity tickets, purchased on site at the event. All forms of payment accepted.
Activities include:
• Alien Lab: Haunted Walkthrough attraction (closed on LITE
NITE, Oct 25)
• LED lighted stilt-walking “robots” & DJ show (1st weekend)
• Magic shows with the Amazing Mr. A (2nd weekend)
• Indoor black light games (carnival games that glow-in-the-
dark)
• Trackless train rides
• Interactive animal exhibit
• Glitter tattoos and crafts
• Carousel open later
• Trick or treating (FREE)

Volunteers are also needed!
Auditions for scare actors take place Thursday, September 6 at 5:30pm, Saturday, September 8 at 2:00pm, and Saturday, September 22 at 11:00am. Volunteer opportunities are also available throughout the event and include community service hours. Applications will be accepted through September 22.
