GARDEN SOCIAL FOR SPECIAL NEEDS

• Participants will cultivate, plant, and water the therapeutic butterfly garden
o Garden themed arts and craft projects and light refreshments will be served
o This program will encourage social interaction, sensory stimulation, improve motor skills, enhance creativity, and self-confidence
• Ages 11 and older (siblings 11 and older are welcome)
• Thursday, February 22nd from 5:15 PM to 7:15 PM
• $5 Coconut Creek residents; $10 non-residents
• Held at the Community Center, 1100 Lyons Road
• Each special needs individual must meet the following: Independent bathroom skills, ability to follow basic instructions, ability to participate in a group structure.
o If he/she is unable to do so must provide his/her own assistant for supervision (such as a family member, companion, etc.)
o Walk-in registration is accepted at both the Community Center and Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard
